The Cleveland Bay Horse Society of North America (CBHSNA) is a participating member of the United States Dressage Federation's (USDF) All Breeds Awards program. This is a wonderful program to be invoved in and gives you the chance to show off your Cleveland Bay. The CBHSNA is happy to be part of this progrm and encourages all dressage riders to read about qualifying for participation. Every effort will be made to offer awards to all members who attain qualifying scores.

Qualifying rules.

1.  At least one horse owner must be a current CBHSNA member in good standing.
2.  Horse must be registered with the Cleveland Bay Horse Society (CBHS) or Cleveland Bay Horse Society of Australasia (CBHSA) with its current owner. For leased horses, the Lessor or Owner must be a CBHSNA member.
3.  Rider/owner must fulfill all membership and fee requirements with the USDF to participate in the program. Contact the USDF for All Breeds rules or go to http://www.usdf.org/awards/all-breeds/all-breeds.asp
4.  Riders are encouraged to keep the CHBSNA current on their records status to help prevent confusion at the end of the show year.
5.  Owners/riders are encouraged to show their horse under its CBHS/CBHSA registered name (prefixes included). If a horse is shown under a name other than its CBHS/CBHSA name, both names including registration number must be listed in all CBHSNA correspondence. ie. Galli (Georgeous Galliano) PB1400
6.  Horse must be currently enrolled in at least one (1) CBHSNA Performance Awards program category.

AWARDS

The CBHSNA may award up to six certificates.

a. Five CBHSNA Horse of the Year* certificates from Training to Fourth level , if applicable, qualified FEI participants will also be recognized for those levels.

b. One for highest placed (percentage) for any Musical Freestyle category, from First through Grand Prix levels.

c. One certificate for highest placing (percentage) for any sport horse in hand category.

*CBHSNA Horse of Year is the horse with the highest average percentage score within each level.

Every effort will be made to offer awards to all members who attain qualifying scores. Additional categories may be awarded depending on particpation level, number of unused categories, etc.

Articles featuring winners and participants be will published in the Baywatch and as many publications as possible. All winners are required to submit a performance type photograph and short article (min. 50 words) for publication by November 15, 2009.
