Cleveland Bay Purebred Blood-typing and DNA Depository

Over twenty years ago, the CBHSNA began a working relationship with the University of Kentucky and later, Texas A&M University to study the genetic diversity of purebred Cleveland Bays. AmerStudBkSeveral purebred owners submitted blood samples and later, hair samples, for study. That analysis is complete, but unfortunately the results have yet to be published.

Recently, both Universities ruled these reports are property of the Cleveland Bay Horse Society of North America. All the blood-typing and DNA reports have been transferred to the Society.

Calling All NE CB Enthusiasts

Corliss selbyThe NE Horse and Trail Rides Calendar is out.  Dates spanning from May through the end of July.  There are many great looking ride opportunities here; some even multiple day events.  Check out the calendar and feel free to check out the NEHT website for additional information about these rides.  Mileage from these trail rides (with cb under the saddle) count toward a CBHSNA award that is awarded through the NEHT. View the NEHT Ride Calendar.  You need not be riding a CB to partcipate on these trail rides.  Happy Trails!
