I fox hunt. Starting the first weekend in September, I hunt 3 or more times a week if the weather permits. When hunting ends, I work on cross country riding to begin preparing to hunt next fall. I need a horse that is fast enough to keep up on those long runs across fields and handy enough to wind through vines, brambles, fallen stone walls, ravines and tight turns over fences. I need a horse athletic enough to handle any jump – coop, stonewall, ditch, fallen trees -- and relaxed enough to stand patiently at a check or to stand and listen for the hounds when they’re at a distance. Now in his fourth season, that describes my part-bred Old Dominion Bedwyr – or Bozley, as he’s known in the ‘hood.

The CBHSNA’s Performance Awards program is open to all CBHSNA members, wherever located, competing with their registered CB or CBx. Program enrollees range from beginners at schooling-level shows all the way to FEI level and may choose from eight stand-alone disciplines. For horses which haven’t yet found their niche OR are true all-arounders, a versatility category is available. Special awards are available from individual sponsors based on horse or competitor age, discipline, competition level, or horse gender. Awards are given at years-end and program results are published extensively both across North American and abroad. Dressage enrollees may also use their PA enrollment toward the USDF’s All-Breeds awards program.
For more information, please contact the CBHSNA’s Performance Awards committee by emailing email@example.com. Or visit the Performance Program section of this website.

An updated version of the online census has just been posted. (November 6, 2014)
Cleveland Bay Ambassador Award Program Procedure
1. Recipients need not be CBHSNA members to receive an Ambassador Award
2. Unregistered horses are eligible to win a Cleveland Bay Ambassador Award one time unless that horse changes owners (we can help & steer towards registration and foster good sportsmanship).
The CBHSNA Performance Awards Committee is pleased to announce the 2014 Sponsors for the PA program. A special thank you to all our sponsors who have stepped forward to contribute and best wishes for a successful season to all our out PA participants. (posted February 5, 2014)
